Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is an island country in the Lesser Antilles chain, in the southern portion of the Windward Islands, which lie at the southern end of the eastern border of the Caribbean Sea where the latter meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Most Vincentians are the descendants of African people brought to the island to work on plantations. There are other ethnic groups such as Portuguese and East Indians, both brought in to work on the plantations after the abolishing of slavery by the British, and Syrians living on the island.

A card shows four different and  beautiful scenes in St. Vincent, like in upper right picture, that's La Soufrière volcano, the highest peak at 1,234 m in St.Vincent. The tourism sector also has considerable potential for development, because Pirates of the Caribbean movies filmed on the island has helped to expose the country to more potential visitors and investors.

This card had been through a very long journey before it arrived Nauru. It almost took about 5 months to get here. Fortunately, it still arrived safely. Thanks to my friend, Leo, who also works in St. Vincent as a volunteer. What a impressive card!

Because the first postcard from there took nearly 5 months, so he decided to send me one more postcard to Taiwan. Such a long journey! Luckily, I still got the two postcards eventually.
