Banda Aceh, Indonesia

Indonesia, officially the Republic of Indonesia, is a country in Southeast Asia and Oceania. Indonesia is an archipelago comprising approximately 17,508 islands. It has 34 provinces with over 238 million people, and is the world's fourth most populous country. Indonesia is a republic, with an elected legislature and president. The nation's capital city is Jakarta.

Banda Aceh is the provincial capital and largest city in the province of Aceh, Indonesia, located on the island of Sumatra, with an elevation of 35 meters. It is located at the northwestern tip of Indonesia at the mouth of the River Krueng Aceh.
Banda Aceh was not frequently the subject of international discussion until 26 December 2004, the day the Indian Ocean earthquake struck off the western coast of Sumatra. It was the closest major city to the earthquake's epicenter, and suffered further damage when a tsunami struck shortly afterward.

Viriya is one of my best friend from Banda Ache. We often fooled around when we studied in graduate institute. She sent me a self-made card to show a small fish village near her hometown and try to convey "Simple is happy" to me.
