Gliwice, Poland

Gliwice is a city in Upper Silesia, southern Poland, near Katowice. Gliwice is the west district of the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union – a metropolis with a population of 2 million. The city is located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Kłodnica river (a tributary of the Oder).

On the postcard, the building in the upper left corner is Piast's Castle in Gliwice, southern Poland dates back to the mid-14th century. It consists of a tower from 1322, which was originally part of the city walls, and an adjoining building which was probably an armory. Now is a local museum.

A card from a place 12 km away from Gliwice. It traveled to Taiwan in such a short time and I love the city you showed me. Cheers! Łukasz.
