Nîmes, France

France, officially the French Republic, is a unitary semi-presidential republic located mostly in Western Europe, with several overseas regions and territories. From its shape, it is often referred to in French as "The Hexagon". France is the largest country in Western Europe and the third-largest in Europe and It possesses the second-largest exclusive economic zone in the world. France has been a major power with strong cultural, economic, military, and political influence in Europe and around the world.

   

Nîmes is the capital of the Gard department in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France. Nîmes has a rich history, dating back to the Roman Empire, and is a popular tourist destination. Several important remains of the Roman Empire can still be seen in and around Nîmes, such as Arena of NîmesThe Maison Carrée and  Pont du Gard.
