Ilocos, Philippines

The Philippines is a sovereign state in Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean. Manilai is the capital of the country. Its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire and its tropical climate make the Philippines prone to earthquakes and typhoons but have also endowed the country with natural resources and made it a megadiverse country. The country is categorized broadly into three main geographical divisions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

A card shows the attractions in Ilocos. The Ilocos region is located in the northwest of Luzon. The region is composed of four provinces, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan. Paoay Church is a example of a baroque church in Ilocos Norte province and also included in World Heritage list. Pottery making is one of the main industries of Ilocos and well known for its dark colored clay.
